Fire Prevention Day
Thursday, October 5 was Fire Prevention Day here at Brownstown. Thank you to the West Earl Fire Department for showing us that firefighters are not scary, what to do when we hear a smoke detector beep, and how to stay low when there is a fire. We loved being able to climb through the trucks!
September Students of the Month
Our Character Trait for the month of September was Responsibility: think before you act; consider the consequences on all people affected.
Congratulations to our September Students of the Month!

Show & Tell
On Friday, I asked the kiddos to bring in their favorite stuffed animal. We read the book Plaidypus Lost on Tuesday, which is about a little girl who repeatedly lost her favorite stuffed animal. We then wrote about our own favorite stuffed animals in our writing journals. Finally, on Friday, we shared them with the class!
